Steda

For accounting firms

Put your clients’ registers and receivables on one platform, at a published wholesale rate

From 3 client entities up. The firm pays Steda and bills its own clients. There is no implementation fee, because you onboard them yourself. The ladder is below, and so is a list of what Steda does not do for firms yet.

The ladder

Wholesale, per client entity per month

The band rate applies to every entity you have on Steda, and it moves when the count crosses a band. Annual billing is two months free, the same as the direct price.

Client entitiesOne productBoth products
3 to 4$129/mo$199/mo
5 to 14$99/mo$159/mo
15 to 49$79/mo$129/mo

One product means Steda Receivables or Steda Registers on that entity. The asset overage applies per client entity as normal.

What the ladder costs your practice

The band rate applies to every client entity, and it moves when your count crosses a band.

We would put client entities on Steda, on .

Your band5 to 14 entities
Wholesale, per entity per month$99
The same entities bought directly, a month$199 for the first, $129 for each of the other 7.$1,102
Your practice, a month$792
Your practice, a year$9,504

Minimum 3 client entities to enter the ladder. No implementation fee, because the firm onboards its own clients. The asset overage applies per client entity as normal. The comparison column is what those same entities would cost on one direct subscription, which is not what a client buying alone would pay.

Why a firm would

What the wholesale arrangement gives you

One sign-in, every client

Each client is its own entity with its own registers, its own close sequence and its own QuickBooks file. You move between them without signing out.

No implementation fee

You onboard your own clients, so there is nothing to charge for. That trade is what the wholesale rate buys. If you would rather we ran an onboarding, it is priced on the ladder as normal.

You bill the client

The firm pays Steda and bills its clients whatever it likes. We never quote your client a price.

It reaches QuickBooks Desktop

Including Enterprise, through the Web Connector. The clients who are still on Desktop are usually the ones with the register problem.

Before you move twenty clients

What does not exist yet

This is the list we would rather you read now than discover in month three. All four are on the roadmap and none of them has a date.

  • There is no firm-level dashboard across your clients. You open a client to see it.
  • There is no read-only role yet. A user who can see a module can change it.
  • There is no bulk user provisioning. Adding a staff member to twenty clients is twenty invitations.
  • There is no white label. The application says Steda, and the client portal says the client.

Questions

What is the minimum?

3 client entities. Below that the published direct pricing applies, and a firm with two clients on Steda is better off there anyway.

What happens when we cross a band?

The new rate applies to every entity, not just the ones above the line, from the next invoice. It is the same arithmetic in both directions: if the count falls back, so does the rate.

Who owns the data if a client leaves the firm?

The client does. An entity can be moved to a direct subscription without exporting and re-importing anything, and everything in Steda exports to Excel and CSV at any time, including after a subscription lapses.

Can we resell it under our own name?

Not today. There is no white label. The application carries Steda branding, and the customer invoice portal carries your client’s branding on your client’s own subdomain.

Do you pay a referral fee instead?

Yes, if you would rather not carry the billing. It is $149 for each client who signs directly with Steda, credited against your next invoice or paid by cheque if you have no Steda invoice. Wholesale and the referral credit do not stack on the same client: on wholesale you keep the wholesale margin instead.

Does the asset overage still apply?

Yes, per client entity, the same as a direct subscription. A client with more than the included assets pays for the extra blocks.
